Thoughts from the Online Marketing Summit in San Diego

February 8, 2012

We’re at the Online Marketing Summit this week in San Diego, and its been a great show so far.  Lots of great discussion around social media, and how it impacts marketing campaigns, website traffic, and SEO.  We’ve been really please to hear LOTS of discussions about analytics, and the importance of measuring everything you do as part of an overall marketing strategy – right up our alley! That is getting more and more difficult as social media plays an increasing role in everything we do.  Now, businesses have many more touch-points that need to be measured.

Our CEO, Jim Bennette, spoke at his session on social media for SMBs http://bizy.be/mi5M and the importance of measuring – a perfect fit based on the buzz of the event.  We were pleased to have well over 100 people attend our talk, and the feedback has been great.  Clearly, SMBs are feeling the pain with social media, as it is a new and somewhat intimidating medium for them.  Lots of great questions after the talk asking for help!  Here is a very brief talk that Jim had with a reporter from PR Newswire, that gives a little insight into what his talk was all about, and the advice we gave to those that asked for help (focusing on 1 social medium and growing their efforts from there).  http://bizy.be/LRn

Case study: How Interpro keeps website data from getting lost in translation

January 26, 2012

If your business requires multilingual versions of products and services, but you’re up against a language barrier, then Interpro’s translation solutions are what you’re looking for. Their experts can translate virtually any existing language to support your business’s international and/or multicultural growth.

But it took VisiStat to help Interpro become fluent in customer intelligence and web analytics.

“We turned to VisiStat to assist us in monitoring who visits our website, how they got to it, and where they visit when they arrived,” said Nicholas Strozza, Business Development Manager at Interpro Translation Solutions. “We were using a previous tool that was not user friendly or accurate when aggregating data. Overall, we wanted an easier solution to help us improve our website content and marketing.”

Interpro chose VisiStat based on our user-friendly tools and ability to provide fast access to important visitor data. Interpro now relies on features such as filtering ISPs and tagging visitors to inform its marketing strategy.

“VisiStat constantly helps us understand what types of companies are visiting our website and that enables us to improve our SEO and web content,” said Strozza. “We monitor VisiStat on a daily basis and produce weekly reports for all management, business development, and marketing staff to review. The targeting implications have been extremely valuable for us.”

Does your small to medium-sized business need more accurate, more accessible information on who visits your website? VisiStat offers a live demo and free trial on our website. Give us a try right now.

Free upcoming webinar: You have website visitors… now what?

January 12, 2012

It’s a grim reality: Over 95% of your website’s visitors won’t take any action on your site. They show up. Then they go. And so do your leads or sales.

This educational webinar, moderated by Shawn Elledge of DemandCon and presented by John Costigan, CEO of Costigan Training, will give you insight and ammunition to do something about it. It takes place online, on Wednesday, January 18 at 2 p.m. EST. And it’s totally free. You can learn more and sign up here.

Here are just a few of the topics they’ll cover:

  • A proven methodology for identifying and contacting the companies that visit your website
  • How to reach the person you really need to speak to quickly and efficiently
  • The three “must do’s” you need to accomplish before contacting a prospect
  • When and how to use email (yep, you probably need to fine-tune your email style)
  • The number one sales line of all time that will allow you to make more money than you did in 2011

We think this is going to be a valuable opportunity for VisiStat customers and any small business owners grappling with visitor data and a need for better traction. So, sign up right now and see what you can do to improve your website and sales stats.
