Are you familiar with the Startup America Partnership?

If you’re a young company with a founder/employee count of 2-6 and the potential for growth, this could be an incredibly valuable free resource for your business. Here’s a snippet from a recent news release announcing the launch of this entrepreneurial-focused growth initiative:

The Startup America Partnership, an organization working to help young companies grow in order to create jobs in America, today announced the official public launch of its platform for startups. Young companies can now register to become verified Startup America Firms and gain access to resources from more than twenty five leading companies. Fourteen new partners have added another $330 million of private-sector commitments offered by the Partnership.

Bloomberg.com recently reported that the Startup America Partnership wants to go from supporting 2,200 startups to 100,000 by April this year. Seriously. Your startup might qualify.

End of year spending tips

December 15, 2011

Anita Campbell of Small Business Trends recently listed 10 ways to save money for your business. Here’s a tip that’s particularly useful this time of year:

Save on Client Gifts.

If you give your clients (or employees) gifts at Christmas or other holidays, take advantage of daily deals and coupons to save on flowers, wine and corporate gifts. If you have a credit or charge card that offers rewards, use the points. You still get the karma for being a gift giver, but your bank account won’t take as big of a hit.
